About the Game
Velastrum is a solo-developed, single-player survival RPG in Unreal Engine 5. After a crash landing on an uncharted planet, you’ll explore hostile biomes, craft with alien substitutes, and manage environmental risks: temperature, toxicity, and radiation.
Progress through two trees: Skills for practical mastery and Powers tied to resonant crystals with meaningful trade-offs. The narrative unfolds slowly as you build trust across species lines and uncover how the crystals connects. Velastrum favors depth, readability, and consequences.

What I’m Making
I’m creating a grounded, story-driven survival experience focused on exploration, risk management, and meaningful choices. You’ll scavenge alien materials, manage environmental hazards, and slowly piece together a mystery that’s bigger than your crash landing.
Why Solo
Small teams move with intent. Going solo lets me protect the vision, cut features that don’t serve it, and polish the ones that do. Fewer meetings, more making. It’s slower—but it’s honest.

Unfortunately, I have no idea when the playable build will be ready or how much of the game is finished. I encourage you to follow the news in the davelog, there will be hints about the state of the game there.
Yes, I’ll try to make the game available on Steam, but not only that. I’d also like it to appear on other platforms like Epic Games, GOG, etc.
Unfortunately, I’m not currently working on any multiplayer mechanics. Currently, I’m primarily focused on a complete single-player story mode, and if it’s completed, I’m considering implementing a multiplayer mode.
I’d like to. I’ve already implemented the pad support code. However, will console policy accept my expectations for the game’s release? I can’t guarantee that.
